You will notice right away that they are quite thin while being exceptionally strong and springy. In fact, they are reminiscent of the legendary Jerry’s Nugget playing cards and other cards from the 1970s, having an almost varnished feel. They stay very flat and have an extraordinary spring to them despite being thin. [You might notice that some of the blue decks are a bit softer than the reds, but not all, so go with the red if you are looking for the most spring]

Additionally you will be surprised at the precision registration. As you can see in the photo, the borders are quite slim but perfectly centered. They look fantastic! The great, classical design on the back also features a subtle one-way aspect that can be utilized for magic related purposes.

We will point out, in advance, that the tuck cases are nothing extraordinary and are, in fact, quite disappointing, but the cards more than make up for it! Definitely get a deck or two to try out (or more before they sell out!), we think you will be very happy, and please let us know what you think of these excellent new cards!

We are very proud to introduce the latest deck in our Erdnase 1902 line of playing cards. It may likely be the last release of this excellent series, and it is a wonderful and fitting finale. Similar to the exquisite Red and Gold Acorn deck, which sold out almost instantaneously upon release last year, this new deck features Guy Hollingworth’s wonderful Acorn back design with a black back and metallic silver details. It is a beautiful deck!

As usual, we have spared no expense and the quality of these cards is amazing. They are on the best card stock and made to handle superbly. These cards are printed on the highest quality casino stock with USPCC’s finest coating. This makes for a deck that not only feels as good as cards from 10 years ago, but even better. As a special treat for Halloween, we are releasing uncut sheets of a number of our decks for sale for a limited time! These are what the cards look like before they are cut and work great as display pieces or for other purposes. We had the Erdnaseum sheets, for example, at the Erdnaseum convention and there were a number of people getting them signed by all of the attendees, so a good idea might be to have a sheet signed by your favorite practitioners of Erdnase!

We have had a limited number of the sheets printed, and have already given away a lot of our stock of the Erdnaseum sheets to attendees of the convention, so act quickly. They will not be reprinted. Additionally we still have a very limited number of our previously released uncut sheets and Ask Alexander playing card decks so feel free to add to your order!

These clips start out entirely anodized in blue and are engraved to give the silver finish on the outside with a striking blue inside. Because of the engraving there is a slight texture to the outside of the clip to give you extra hold when you remove your pristine cards from within. The clip is also slightly larger than a typical clip in order to safely hold the higher-quality, thicker card stock of our premium cards (although they will work fine with a regular deck, if you leave the jokers in).

You will be very pleased to own one of these limited edition clips (Only 36 clips of both Ivory and Cambric will be sold). Further each clip comes complete with a deck of our Erdnase 1902 Smith Back No. 2 playing cards! As you may have read, our last contest was answered correctly by Frank Yuen (Congratulations sir!) and, in order to give everyone more incentive to use Ask Alexander and find glorious information, another contest is in order! The prize remains the same (ten decks of our playing cards postage paid), although we will be offering an alternate prize, having to do with the contest, should the winner be so inclined…it’s kind of a big deal.
